By taking a proactive approach to education, awareness and behavioral health services, our resolve is to reduce the number of suicides among in-service and retired first responders.

About
The Stevie LaDue Firefighter Foundation’s focus is "Giving Hope and Help to Save Lives." We strive to build relationships with first responders and their families to assure them that there is always hope and help available to them in times of extreme stress. We are aware that cumulative stress overload can often be more than an individual first responder can bear. We know that family members are often the first to discern the behavioral and emotional burdens of their loved ones serving the community as first responders. We want to help.

Family Involvement
SLFF sponsors gatherings of first responders and family members to promote friendships and the sharing of experiences. We are aware that when first responders are suffering internally, the whole family is affected.  We strive to deepen awareness of the dangers of cumulative stress and the effects of post-tramatic stress.
Appreciation of First Responders
First Responders are on the scene when they are needed. Often they place their own lives at risk in order to protect those in the community they serve. The Stevie LaDue Firefighters Foundation is committed to providing support and resources needed by our first responders. We advocate for appropriate legislation and public policy that will promote the physical, emotional and mental well-being of first responders and their families.
